DOT(WA) has developed the following resource packages for professionals and parents/ caregivers.

  1. Play and Early Learning Handouts – photo-based resource handouts which demonstrate ideas to promote the development of play and early learning skills for children.
  2. Early Skills for Living and Learning Handouts – text-based resource handouts which provide tips for assisting children in everyday home and school activities and routines including dressing, grooming, mealtimes, home & school routines, attention, scissor skills and writing.

It is recommended the handouts be used in consultation with an occupational therapist or another professional with experience working with children. Funding for the development of these handouts was kindly provided by Non-Government Centre Support (NGCS).

3. Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) Handouts – Clinical guidelines for occupational therapists to use when working with children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and information sheets intended to be used by parents and professionals such as allied health workers and teachers.
4. Motor Dysgraphia Handouts – Clinical guidelines for occupational therapists to use when working with children with Dysgraphia and information sheets intended to be used by parents and professionals such as allied health workers and teachers.
