National Disability Insurance Scheme in WA

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support (including occupational therapy services) for Australians with disability, their families and their carers. People under the age of 65 years with a permanent and significant disability are eligible for the scheme.

From 1 July 2018, the national NDIS (delivered by the NDIA) became responsible for the delivery of the NDIS in WA. The NDIS continues to roll out on a geographic basis and is expected to be fully rolled out across Western Australia by 2020.
